About Scéalta
Scéalta – Our Stories is a BIAS oral history project capturing the memories and experiences of Irish people who made Brent their home.
Through conversations, photographs and personal memories, our club members, service users and volunteers shared their experiences of leaving Ireland, arriving in London and building new lives in Brent.
From work and family life to dance halls, friendships and the places that became a home away from home, Scéalta preserves an important part of Brent’s Irish history through the voices of the people who lived it.
We’re proud that Scéalta was written and designed in-house by BIAS staff and volunteers, bringing these memories together for future generations.
