Welfare
We have a welfare advice project that can help you with welfare issues, including:
- Benefits
- Pensions (both UK and Irish)
- Debt
- Housing
- Passports
- Irish birth certificates
- Opening a bank account
- Returning to Ireland
- Social care assessments
Our telephone service is available Monday-Friday from 9.30am to 4.30pm. It is usually best to ring us before coming to visit.
Call us on 0208 459 6655, or drop us an email at welfare@biasbrent.co.uk.
Drop-in Surgeries
Our drop-in surgeries are available:
- in Willesden: on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9.30am to 12.30pm
- in Hornsey: on Mondays from 9.30am to 12.30pm (beginning Monday 14th April).
At our surgeries we might:
- Deal with your issue then
- Take your details and book you an appointment to come back
- Book you a telephone appointment for later in the day or the week
- Take a copy of your documents or ask you to come back with documents.
If you are concerned for any reason, or require assistance that is outside our normal remit, please still call us, and we will try to offer assistance. If you are not able to access our drop-ins in person, we can also offer an outreach service within Brent and Haringey.
If BIAS cannot help directly, we can also refer you to another organisation which can (see directory here).
Call us on 0208 459 6655 and we will be more than happy to help!
