BIAS Service Update

BIAS is now beginning to reopen face-to-face services.

  • Our welfare advice service is still operating via a telephone advice service, but are beginning to see clients on a case-by-case basis. Each week there will be a limited number of appointments available, to those who have an urgent need for face-to-face advice/support. In order to avail of these appointments, please call our office on 0208 459 6655, where you will be assessed by an Advice Worker. If an appointment is scheduled, please follow the guidelines set out by our advice team, to ensure the safety of yourself and BIAS staff. For further information, check our Welfare Advice and Information page.
  • BIAS is continuing to run a befriending service, providing support and conversations to those who may be feeling isolated during ‘shielding’ or not being able to meet family and friends as much as they normally would.
  • We are still providing doorstep engagement via our Community Engagement Worker. This service has proved vital to the people we support, in ensuring people are kept engaged with BIAS services to reduce isolation and maintain well being.
  • BIAS is taking steps to move closer to reopening our Active Ageing Club. We hope to have positive news in the coming weeks regarding the club.

We understand how important our services are for the local Irish community, and we are working hard to ensure that nobody is feeling isolated, or worried about any situations they need advice on. Please contact our office on 0208 459 6655, or email info@bias.flywheelstaging.com if you would like to chat with someone regarding any of our services.
