You can apply online for an Irish Passport for renewal for an adult.
The process is very straight forward and will require a picture of yourself to be uploaded.
Applications forms for Irish passports/ passport renewal can be obtained from our office – Tuesday and Wednesday each week between 9.30 a.m. and 12.30. If it is outside of these times please contact us by phone to ensure that you will be seen.
If you cannot call to our office you may also send us a self addressed envelope and we will be happy to send on the passport application (we recommend sending an A5 envelope with your name and address ) and adding a 1st class stamp to cover the postage charges or adding a Large stamp on a A4 envelope. Unfortunately, we cannot send out passport applications due to the costs of doing so without having a S.A.E enclosed. If you need assistance in completing your form please let us know so we can arrange an appointment to complete your application with you.
Fees depends on the type of passport you apply for:
- Standard 10-year passport is £70
- Large 66-page, 10-year passport is £96
- Standard 5-year passport for those between 3 and 18 years is £23
- Standard 3-year passport for those under 3 years is £14
- Emergency Passports
- Adult – £114
- Under 18s – £47
- Children Under 3 – £38
Credit and debit cards are accepted. Cheques and postal orders should be made payable to the “Embassy of Ireland” for the valid sterling amount.
If paying by credit card, payment will be taken in euros. Please ensure that the cardholder has signed Section 1 of the application and entered the expiry date of the card. The above information on charges maybe subject to change.
If you choose to post your application, we would suggest using a registered mail or a reputable courier service. The Embassy cannot be held responsible for applications or documents lost in transit.
Please note we do not process passport applications.
